In a pure inductive circuit if the supply frequency is reduced to 1/2, the current will ?

 Q. शुद्ध प्रेरक परिपथ में यदि आपूर्ति आवृत्ति 1/2 तक कम कर दी जाए, तो धारा क्या होगी?

A)आधा कर दिया जाए [be reduced by half]
B)दोगुना किया जाए [be doubled]
C)चार गुना वृद्धि होगी [be four times as high]
D)1/4 तक कम किया जाए [be reduced to one fourth]

Answer. B)दोगुना किया जाए [be doubled]

Detail solution :-

By Ohms Law we have I = V/R 

but here R is replaced by impedance Z 

Thus, I = V/Z and, Z = sqrt(R^2 + XL^2) 

As it is a purely inductive circuit thus, R = 0 

We have Z = XL = 2πfL 

now if f is halved, then XL will also be halved 

But I  =V/Z hence I will be doubled
